My New Look The BC!!

Call it mid-life crisis or what, I don't know, but after I washed my hair this week I took the scissors and you can see the results. I've been dissatisfied with locks for a while and this is the first phase of eventually cutting them off to start a new set. My hubby who was away on a work trip had a shock on his return(as did the kids when they got back from school). I had already forgotten about it so met him all smiles. He says it's taking him some time to get used to it. He did agree to take photos though. I'm loving it. So easy to take care of. The color I had refreshed a while back it just got "redder" with the summer sun. What do you think?

My model girls..

Posted by Picasa

So my girls did a photo shoot this week after having been selected for a local model search contest and boy weren't they excited.
Soila's sisterlocks are now close to 3 years and Nina is now in a very new set of twist locks. They had a real blast and here are just a few of their shots.

Recent Meetup Photos and A Pat On The Back From Dr Cornwell

Here are few photos from the Meet and Greet we had with Dr. Cornwell. My camera had a problem so I've been unable to post until now.

We had a great time and Dr. Cornwell shared a lot of insights about Sisterlocks and her vision. Enjoy.

I can't stop smiling since Dr. Cornwell complimented my client Sarah on her "beautifully done" Sisterlocks installation when she visited Atlanta in April. More of Sarah's Sisterlocks can be seen on her blog(4-5 months young). Benita, one of my newer clients, joined us for the second photo.

Become a Sisterlocks consultant

Posted by Picasa
I was shocked to find out today that I haven't blogged in over a month - sigh, I'm so behind. I wonder how the prolific bloggers manage it? It's a real struggle for me to keep up. I acknowledge regretfully, that the updated blogs get far more frequent visitors.
Anyway I've been so busy with my clients - new and old and yes, Sisterlocks continues strong despite the recession, I always tell my clients. In fact, I think I can go as far as to say it's fairly recession-proof. For under 1,500 dollars which is the training fee, you have the potential to build up a wonderful business with the bonus of meeting and making many wonderful new friends. The overhead costs are not that high. The real cost is labor.
So check out Sisterlock's 2009 consultant training page page for the next consultant's class being held in your area. And guess what? When you pay for the class, you also get a free 1-year subscription to the official Sisterlocks Lifestyle Journal. Now that's a deal. In this photo we see Dr. Cornwell at the last Atlanta Sisterlock's Meet and Greet flanked by some of the wonderful consultants, sisterlocks wearers and trainees. Check out Sophia, Black Russian, Sarah, Onyxcherry and Paulette.

I'm Certified!! I'm Certified!!

Hooray!!Today after three weeks of daily checking, I finally see myself listed on the Sisterlocks Home Office site as a bonafide, CERTIFIED Sisterlocks consultant. Celeste Geary of the Home Office who handles evaluations of consultants applications notified me a while back, but, to date, I had not seen my name on the certified consultants site. It's taken me a bit of a while - I took the consultants class in 2003, but put things on the shelf while I had a new baby and moved continents twice. However, I submitted my paperwork last June, and am finally proud and soooo pleased to get my certification. I'm so excited and thankful to God. I'll be offering a special deal for my first new clients as a certified consultant. Please call or email me for details. I'll soon have a hyperlink to the Sisterlocks website up and running to help generate some more new customers. I have a free gift for any clients who get their Sisterlocks installed in April. I'll be looking to service the Buckhead/Ashford/ Dunwoody, Sandy Springs/north Atlanta area. I can also travel to you. Call me on (404) 935 -2286 to arrange a consultation or email me. Looking forward to welcoming you "home." God bless.
